
Seasonal Program Positions
GPI US offers paid contractor positions year-round in our US empowerment programs to college students & individuals interested in furthering our mission.
GPI US seeks university students and individuals interested in gaining valuable experience with Japanese high school students visiting and learning in the East & West Coast. Our programs are held on various college campuses and study centers. Applicants who have an interest in global education and Japanese culture, as well as experience living abroad are preferred.

Current Positions Offered in the East Coast

Activity Group Leader
Activity Group Leaders will actively engage in discussions to help students improve communication skills, critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, cultural and global awareness - not just during scheduled evening sessions but throughout the program. The students will value your relationship. Activity Group Leaders will also act as their escort and mentor throughout the program activities including workshops, city tours, etc.

Assistant Head Coordinator

Learn & Lead Group Leader
Learn & Lead Group Leaders will meet with students and discuss a plan for exploring the city for a day. The Group Leader will also actively engage students in conversations to help them improve their communication skills and encourage them to take leadership throughout the day.

Discussion Leader
Discussion Leaders will be leading discussions prompted by a Facilitator for a group of 5 to 10 Japanese students. Discussion Leaders will encourage Japanese students to express their own opinions and ask questions.

San Francisco Bay Area

Head Coordinator
GPI US is seeking Head Coordinators who are responsible for the on-site execution of the program. Head Coordinators will work on-site, manage contracted staff as well as all logistics of the program, and handle any group issues while acting as a liaison between program chaperones and GPI staff.

Facilitator
GPI US is seeking a Facilitator who is interested in leading our GPI US Empowerment/Leadership sessions with Japanese high school students visiting the San Francisco Bay Area. Interest in global education, Japanese culture, and experience living abroad is a plus.

UCLA Campus Tour & Fellowship Leader
GPI US is seeking college students who are interested in sharing their college experiences with Japanese high school students visiting and learning in the United States.
